Karmany Yoga Dallas

So on Sunday I had a great day. I went to church and the devotional focus of the day was to give PRAISE! God has given me so much and and so worthy to be praised!

To celebrate the beautiful day I went to Karmany Yoga on McKinney at the 11-12:15 class with Amy. The Power Flow class was a right squeeze but we made it happen. All levels were participating and it was a nice environment. It is a donation based yoga facility that is pretty much give what you can. I totally praised GOD with my body that day and I was thankful to get back on the mat.

Holy Yoga : Jesus at the Core Workshop

On January 25th my friend Racquel and I attended the Holy Yoga: Jesus at the Core workshop at Park Cities Baptist Church. It was a very refreshing experience to finally get to combine yoga and worship openly with other people. I am thankful for this moment and to have shared it with such a close friend. We were even lucky to meet Brooke Boon herself ( the author of Holy Yoga).

Brooke delivered a great devotional, meditation and yoga practice for the day. I was tired but yearned for more. In Brooke’s devotional she reflected on:

Psalm 37:4

Delight ourselves in The Lord!

Be Delicate: Soft , delicate, transformed, molded.

Know that God created us in the end in mind.

Be soft in the hand of the father = delight on the father.

We love because he loved us.

Pursue delight in The Lord.

Delight: to make merry over.

Delight in me, but not before I delight in you.

God is interested in making merry over you.

Position yourself in a space for him to love you.

Just know that: God is……

Ephesians 1:11 it’s in me that you find out who you are and why you’re living.

1 John 4:19

The humility of delight in The Lord.

As I worshipped and prayed I thought of the phrase ” I will delight in you Lord.” Over and over that phrase gave me strength, purpose an happiness in my practice. At the end of our practice Brooke prayed and she simply said, “GOD Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.” Immediately I was filled with spirit and burst into quiet tears. I heard my friend Racquel crying next to me. It was a beautiful moment to experience with such a good friend. God was there with us in that moment. A moment when we deeply needed to hear him.

While we practiced Brooke played Ryan Adam’s acoustic cover of Wonderwall by Oasis. I never have applied a secular song to GOD before but it fit perfectly.

“Maybe. You’re gonna be the one that saves me. And after all you’re my wonderwall. ”

Wow.
